My Background

'The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, your nature with Nature'

Joseph Campbell, Author

From a very early age, I developed a connection with and love of horses and have always sensed, that we can learn, a lot from these intelligent and sensitive creatures.

For many years, it has been a long-term goal of mine, to work with both horses and people, as I believe that horses are excellent teachers in our journey to discover and understand ourselves.

I signed up to an Equine Facilitated Learning course and then successfully complete my training with the LEAP Organisation during 2017.  My LEAP training led me to develop my counselling skills further and I am now in my final year training to be a Person Centred Mental Health Counsellor.

Previous Roles

During the first phase of my career, I worked in a creative capacity within high-profile positions in multi-award-winning organisations such as Ogilvy and Mather, HHCL & Partners and Al Gore’s, Current TV.

I eventually formed my own promotional film company, Contented Brands in 2010 and worked with clients such as Centrepoint, Shelter, Berkeley Homes and HSBC.

In 2020 I created a documentary (LOCK 4 TIMES) about the Lockdown and the Covid-19 pandemic's effect on individuals' mental health.  LOCK 4 TIMES acquired 14 laurels on the International Film Festival circuit and several 'Honourable Mentions".

In 2023 I created an award winning documentary 'Tails From The Borders'.  This film looks at what war means for our animal companions and how many of them have been saved by the heroic efforts of their owners and the tireless work of charities.

My Belief

My own personal experience confirms, that horses can work as mirrors and teachers in terms of emotional intelligence.

I believe that horses teach us that every moment has meaning.

If you want to learn more about who I am, what I do, and how I work, please feel free to contact me.  I am based out of Silver Birch Animal Therapy in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex.
